Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. (APD.N) Plans To Build Three Ammonia Terminals In Europe
Details

Founded in 1940, Air Products & Chemicals, Inc. (APD.N) is the world's largest supplier of hydrogen and a global leader in helium and liquefied natural gas (LNG) processing technology and equipment. The company's strategic goal is to be the "safest, most productive and most profitable company" in the global industrial gases industry.

Recently, the U.S. industrial gases company Air Products plans to build three ammonia terminals in Europe by the beginning of 2027, and then build ammonia import terminals to produce green hydrogen.

The projects are said to be "ready to go", but Caroline Stancell, General Manager of Hydrogen Transportation for Europe and Africa at American Industrial Gases, has made it clear that the company will not make a final investment decision on these terminals without regulatory exemptions or licenses in place.

It is understood that in order to resolve the existing issues, American Industrial Gases is seeking the "same exemptions" that start-up TES received for its synthetic methane terminal in Germany.
